My recent works focus on the landscape and its subtle beauty. Images in this exhibition are derived from a personal interpretation of my recent past and immediate surroundings.

The manipulations of the environment by man and the resulting effects have always been a significant influence on my work since the early 70's. I have incorporated symbolic representation of trees, rivers, roads, fences, subdivisions, and indigenous spirits in these paintings. The impact on nature is a predominant feature, however I have attempted to show the subtle beauty of man's influence on our surroundings.

Our footprint on earth and our carbon emissions, are my focus themes in the most recent works of this exhibition. The figurative images that are emerging focus my thoughts on our need to meet the challenge of natures response to man's influence on planet earth.
