ARTIST STATMENT
My recent works focus on the landscape and its subtle beauty.
The manipulation of the environment by man and its resulting effects has been a significant influence on my work since the early 70's.
Images In my most recent exhibition explore the landscapes we have made, the landscapes we are neglecting, and I challenged the viewer to accept the landscapes we will leave behind.
Many of my other works are derived from my immediate surroundings and a personal interpretation of them.
My extensive travel has caused me to reflect on the past and has resulted in my works challenging us to both accept the past and its impact on the future.
Since concluding my studies at RMIT in 1971, I have exhibited my work extensively. I am represented in many private collections in Australia, New Zealand, America, England and Europe.
